Privacy Policy

Effective November 4, 2026

dnb technologies LLC, doing business as dnb tec and providing services under the dnbprotec brand ("dnb tec," "dnbprotec," "we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information entrusted to us.

Information We Collect

We may collect your name, email address, telephone or mobile phone number, company or organization name, contact and account information, support request and service ticket information, device, computer, network, or technology-related information relevant to services we provide, appointment and scheduling information, billing and transaction-related information, communications you send to us, SMS opt-in and consent information, email newsletter subscription and consent information, and other information you voluntarily provide.

For managed devices, this may include device identifiers, manufacturer and model, operating-system and software details, security and antivirus status, patch status, device health, network identifiers, check-in times, alerts, detected threats, remediation results, and service history.

How We Collect Information

We may collect information when you complete a website form, submit a support request, contact us by telephone, email, or text message, become a customer, enroll in a service, schedule an appointment or service visit, communicate with our support team, provide information during service delivery, or voluntarily opt in to receive SMS communications. This also includes information you provide when you choose to join an email newsletter.

We measure newsletter link activity and may use a small image in newsletters to estimate opens. Email privacy tools and security scanners can affect these figures. We use this information to improve our communications. This does not change your subscription preferences, and you can unsubscribe using the instructions in any newsletter.

We may also collect service and device information automatically through software installed on a managed device, our customer portal, security tools, and service-management systems. If you enroll a device used by someone else, you are responsible for having authority to enroll it and for providing any notices required for its users.

Where SMS consent is requested through a website form, consent is obtained through a separate opt-in disclosure. SMS consent is voluntary and is not a condition of purchasing goods or services.

How We Use Your Information

We may use personal information to provide, maintain, support, and improve our services; respond to customer inquiries and support requests; create, manage, update, and resolve service tickets; communicate regarding appointments and scheduled services; provide service, account, and operational notifications; communicate regarding the receipt, progress, or resolution of a support request; process transactions; send newsletters and related email content you requested; administer customer accounts; maintain service and customer records; protect our customers, systems, services, and business operations; and comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

Managed-service information may be used to monitor device health, identify security or maintenance issues, apply approved policies and patches, perform safe automated remediation, create service tickets, send meaningful notifications, and escalate matters to a dnb tec technician. Issues requiring judgment may be reviewed by a technician.

Remote Support and Device Access

When remote support is requested or included in your service, authorized technicians may use remote-management tools to diagnose or correct problems. Remote access may expose information visible on the device. We limit access to legitimate support, security, maintenance, and service-administration purposes and retain service records of technician activity where available.

Payment Information

When you choose to save a payment method, your card information is entered directly into the secure payment services made available through our service-management provider and its payment processor. We do not receive or store your complete card number or security code. We may receive limited billing information such as payment-profile status, card type, expiration information, transaction status, or a masked account reference so that we can administer your account and services.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for their independent marketing or promotional purposes.

We may disclose information to service providers that perform essential business or technology functions on our behalf when reasonably necessary to provide our services. We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request, or when reasonably necessary to protect our customers, business, systems, rights, or safety.

Providers may include customer and ticket management, endpoint security, remote management, cloud hosting, email and messaging, identity and access, website security, and payment processing services. Information may be processed in the United States or other locations where these providers operate.

SMS consent, SMS opt-in information, and mobile phone numbers collected for SMS communication purposes are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Trials, Billing, and Service Changes

We maintain enrollment, activation, trial, device assignment, payment-profile status, billing preference, and service-status records to administer free trials and paid services. Cancelling, pausing, or removing a device may not immediately delete historical service, billing, security, consent, or audit records retained for legitimate business, security, dispute-resolution, or legal purposes.

SMS Communications

Participation in our SMS program is voluntary. If you opt in, you may receive service-related text messages from dnb tec or dnbprotec. These messages may include support ticket receipt confirmations, ticket progress or status updates, ticket resolution notifications, appointment confirmations or updates, service notifications, account-related communications, and responses to customer-initiated support communications.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP. You may request assistance by replying HELP.

Data Security and Retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

We may retain personal and service-related information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain customer and business records, meet contractual obligations, resolve disputes, protect our systems and customers, and comply with applicable legal requirements.

Retention periods vary by record type and context. When information is no longer needed, we may delete it, deidentify it, or retain it as required or permitted by law.

Your Choices

You may contact us to request that we update or correct certain personal information maintained by us. You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP, and you may opt out of newsletter email using the unsubscribe instructions in any newsletter.

You may also ask about access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with you. Requests may require identity verification and remain subject to exceptions allowed by law. Ending device monitoring may require cancellation of the service and removal of its management software.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, business practices, technology, or legal obligations. The effective date displayed above indicates when this policy was last updated.
